As part of the Education for the Aquaculture Industry Series. Questions to Mr Ken McKeighen will be about how studying and have a degree from an art school or that type of educational program could affect and impress possible employers for those that are following the series.

Ken McKeighen Jr. is a fish & wildlife artist, public speaker on endangered fish species, an accomplished killifish keeper, master pond builder, finder of fossils, ex-automotive industry tool & die maker, musician and totally an amazing conversationalist. Just by listening to the program on this page and it being a part or the series Education for the Aquaculture Industry the listener  can hear the passion of his involvement not only in his art work but his involvement in the science work he does in the field of paleontology.

Ken is a field researcher for the New Mexico Museum of Natural History in Albuequerque, NM. and the field biologist for the Meadow Lake Park and Wildlife Refugium.

Ken McKeighen's passion for his artwork speaks with his tools such as canvass and his brush with the many illustrations and paintings he has done over the past 20 odd years that he has been involved as a professional artist.

Although Ken admitted during the discussion on the Under The Sea Radio Show that he never went to college to take any art programs but did state that he took fine arts during his school days in high school. Amazing when you come to think about the amount of artwork that he has achieved over the years.

With Ken being involved in the tropical fish hobby it may encourage other people involved in the hobby that have art skills to achieve similiar status in the Aquaculture Industry

Ken's  passion in the aquarium hobby is killifish which he actually breeds and does an amazing job reflecting the color of all of the specimens in his artwork.

Currently one of the top 25 fish and wild-life artist in America and with over 1,500 killifish paintings alone since 1990 and a vast library of other wild-life artworks.
